Canderiah Smothers is a dynamic talent who first captured national attention as a finalist on American Idol (Season 3), where she shared the stage with notable performers like Fantasia, her roommate, and Jennifer Hudson, who lived just down the hall. She later showcased her talents on America’s Got Talent as a semi-finalist.
'Up Close & Personal'
During her time at Alabama A&M University, where she majored in Communications, Canderiah earned campus-wide recognition. She was voted "Miss Freshman" and "Miss Maroon & White," a testament to her leadership and charisma. Her passion for performance extended beyond the stage, as she became a member of the Universal Cheerleading Association (UCA). In this role, she worked as a choreographer and workshop clinician for prestigious universities such as the University of Alabama, Florida State University, LSU, Texas A&M, and Mississippi State, as well as for numerous high school cheerleading teams. Canderiah is also a loving mother to her daughter, Kyndall.
